MYM Prof PicMichelle Mendes – Executive Director & President 
Michelle strategically and collaboratively engineers excellence in business. Her corporate, legal and finance background have made her a leader in competitive global commercial space and innovation. Since joining the CSCA in 2014, she has been growing the Association, enriching its programs, improving the Canadian space ecosystem and being the voice of commercial space in Canada. She is a Member of the Space Advisory Board, sits on the Boards of MaxQ Canada, Women in Aerospace and SpaceApps Canada and serves on Committees of the International Astronautical Federation. Michelle holds an MBA in Space Commerce, a Bachelor of General Studies from Simon Fraser University and holds several other professional designations. Operational Volunteers

Alec Wenzowski , Vice President, Development and Partnerships. Alec spearheads our commercial development and partnerships with external stakeholders. He also has worked to streamline our operations, maximize data retention and other efficiencies to the benefit of the Association. He is on the organizing committee of the Canadian SmallSat Symposium.

Kevin Ellis, Vice President Marketing and Communications CSCA, Lead Counsel Archtop Strategic Communications Inc.Through this executive volunteer position, Kevin actively supports the CSCA’s public engagement through its portfolio of strategic activities including branding, advertising, digital, social events and ongoing communications efforts. A veteran strategic communicator, he also also lead counsel at strategic communications firm Archtop Strategic based in Toronto. Kevin has supported the growth of entrepreneurs, innovators and thought leaders from global tech leaders working at c (the speed of light), to natural resource leaders working thousand of feet underground.  He has served industry associations in key sectors, has built and mentored communications teams, and taken deep dives into digital media while leading a digital communications group serving global brands. He has an entrepreneurial perspective gained through founding and developing a tech industry focused marketing and public relations agency that was acquired by BBDO/Omnicom.  Kevin also plays bass in an 80s band, accidentally won a Gemini award, and once made violins.

 Anneke Bruinsma-Findlay, Project ManagerA long-time space enthusiast, Anneke joined the CSCA in 2016 while she was an articling student at a top international law firm. Now a lawyer, Anneke is passionate about supporting entrepreneurs in the  space and satellite sectors by providing innovative corporate and commercial legal services.  Having studied and worked abroad for several years, Anneke is especially interested in fostering cross-border collaboration on commercial space initiatives, and promoting global industry growth. She works to support the initiatives of the Association, particularly in policy and law. She is on the organizing and technical committee of the Canadian SmallSat Symposium.

Andrej Litvinjenko, Vice President, Public Policy and Global Affairs
Andrej develops the CSCA’s advocacy strategy and products, including position papers, budget consultations, and updates on the health of Canada’s commercial outer space sector. He works closely with Members to identify and understand the policy and regulatory challenges and opportunities they encounter, allowing him to better represent their interests before Parliamentary Committees, in consultation documents, and at industry conferences. His research has been published in multiple academic journals, including with Princeton and San Diego Universities.He brings to the CSCA nearly a decade of government and industry experience. He previously served as Advisor to the Parliamentary Chair of the Aerospace, Space, and Cleantech Caucuses and most served Industry Canada as an Innovation Analyst. He holds graduate degrees in Economic Policy and Political Science from the Norman Paterson School and Carleton University, respectively. He recently earned his law degree cum laudefrom the University of Ottawa and is completing his Articles of Clerkship with Norton Rose Fulbright Canada LLP.Email: andrej.litvinjenko@spacecommerce.ca
